What is Apple Cider Vinegar?

What is Apple Cider Vinegar?
Apple Cider Vinegar is made by crushing fresh, organically grown apples and allowing them to mature in wooden barrels. When the vinegar is mature, it contains a dark, cloudy, web-like bacterial foam called mother, which becomes visible when the rich brownish liquid is held to the light. It is important when purchasing Apple Cider Vinegar to use as a natural remedy that you ensure that the ACV has "the mother." The mother can be used to add to other vinegar to hasten maturity for making more Apple Cider Vinegar. Natural vinegars that contain the mother have enzymes and minerals that other vinegars in grocery stores may not have due to over-processing, over-heating, and filtration. For this reason, it is recommended that you purchase only Natural Apple Cider Vinegar, with an ideal acidity (pH) level of 5 to 7. Apple Cider Vinegar also contains many vital minerals and nutrients such as potassium, calcium, magnesium, phosphorous, chlorine, sodium, sulfur, copper, iron, silicon and fluorine that are vital for a healthy body.

Aftershave

Use Apple Cider Vinegar as an aftershave by filling a bottle with equal parts ACV and water. Simply shake the bottle to blend and use as you would a regular aftershave.

Sunburn

Apple Cider Vinegar can alleviate painful sunburn. Simply add 1 cup of ACV to your bath and soak for 10 minutes to relieve the pain from sunburn.

Cellulite

Apple Cider Vinegar can be used to fight cellulite both topically and orally.

To fight cellulite by consuming ACV, simply mix 2 tablespoons of ACV with 8 oz of water and drink each morning.

To fight cellulite by applying ACV topically, simply mix 3 parts ACV with 1 part of your favorite massage oil. Knead the solution onto the areas of your body with cellulite twice daily. This will help reduce the appearance of cellulite.

Facial Toner

Apple Cider Vinegar can be used as a toner on your face and regulate the pH of your skin. Mix 1 part ACV with 2 parts water. Soak a cotton ball in the ACV solution and rub it over your face as a toner after cleansing your face.

Age Spots

The sulfur in Apple Cider Vinegar helps fight the signs of aging and treat age spots. Create an ACV and onion mixture to fight both age spots and sun spots.

Finely chop or blend an onion. Then use a cheese cloth or strainer to squeeze and extract the onion juice. Mix one part ACV and one part the onion juice and mix together. Soak a cotton ball in the ACV/onion mixture and apply it directly to the age or sun spots. Leave the concoction on the age or sun spots for at least 30 minutes. Repeat this at least once per day and after 6 weeks you should begin to notice gradual improvement. Continue the process until the spots have completely disappeared.

Another way to fight age spots and aging is to drink 3 Tablespoons of ACV mixed with a cup of water either hot or cold twice per day. This will not only improve age spots but also give you a young, healthy glow.

Acne

Combining 1 part ACV with 3 parts water and dabbing the liquid on a pimple is said to fight acne. Be careful to ensure that you dilute the ACV because vinegar directly on the skin can burn and irritate the skin, especially if you have sensitive skin. Drinking an ACV and water mixture will also detoxify your system and help you to have clear skin from the inside out.
